Go for tomorrow...

...with Greenfinity Foundation

Since 2013, the Greenfinity Foundation has supported us in improving biodiversity and maintaining visitor facilities.

With the support of the "Greenfinity Foundation - Association for the Protection of the Environment", we have been able to implement several important projects in recent years:

  • 2013/14: Expansion of the Generation Forest area and promotion of the reforestation and replanting campaign by Purkersdorf students.
  • 2015/16: Preliminary work for the recultivation of the forest meadow areas and establishment of the nature park bees as well as expansion of the forest biotope.
  • 2017/18: Improvement of biodiversity through (a) expansion of bee sites, (b) installation of perching logs for better observation of natural life at the forest biotope, and (c) strengthening of native biodiversity by combating neophytes (especially Chinese knotweed and Japanese jumping weed) along the Vienna River.
  • 2019/20: Construction of deadwood piles as habitats for rare animal species such as the alpine longhorn beetle and creation of rest areas with relaxation loungers for our visitors.
  • 2020/21: Improvement of the enclosure facilities for our "wild" (deer, roe deer, wild boar) and our "soft" animals (sheep, goats, donkeys), through covered rest and retreat areas and replanting and replanting of regional woody plants around the animals.
