Getting there
Our nature park area is open and freely accessible all year round!
We recommend to travel by public transport to get to the nature park. The main entrance to the Purkersdorf Nature Park is on the Kellerwiese near the "Purkersdorf-Zentrum" S50 train station and right next to the "Purkersdorf-Kellerwiese" stop of regional bus lines.
Arrival to the Kellerwiese
Train: ÖBB REX/S50, 7/14 minutes from Wien-Hütteldorf to the "Purkersdorf-Zentrum" train station, from there a 5-minute walk to the Kellerwiese entrance.

Bus: Regional bus routes, 24 minutes from Vienna-Hütteldorf to "Purkersdorf Zentrum Bahnhof" stop, from there 1 minute walk to the Kellerwiese entrance.

Bicycle: From Vienna-Hütteldorf via the beautiful Wiental cycle path to Hadersdorf, further along the river to Purkersdorfer Hauptplatz, from there in a few minutes to the Kellerwiese entrance.
There is also a "Nextbike" rental station at the Purkersdorf-Zentrum train station.
Car: From Wien-Auhof 4 km via B1 and B44 to the Kellerwiese. Attention: limited parking facilities (cf map "Parking zones in Purkersdorf PDF" for download):
- "Blue Zone": max 2 hrs free short-term parking.
- "Green Zone" 3 hours free short-term parking, each additional hour 2 € by "Handy Parking App".
- At the ÖBB Park & Ride parking on the B44, the following applies: "Free use for parking ..only for cars registered for traffic and only for the purpose of continuing the journey with public transport in designated parking areas".
Arrival to the access to the Deutschwald visitor center
On foot: The visitor center Deutschwald can be reached in about 30 minutes from the Kellerwiese access via the nature trail.
Bicycle: From the Purkersdorf Hauptplatz go west, then turn south at Deutschwaldstraße and follow the road for about 1 km to Hyrtlgasse behind Gasthaus Klugmayer. Follow the short Hyrtlgasse and immediately behind it at the end of Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse is the access to the park center.
Car: Traveling by car is not recommended due to the limited parking space. If it is necessary to go by car, the access to the visitor center in the Deutschwald district can be reached from the P&R car park on the B44 about 0.5 km further along the B44, then about 1 km via Deutschwaldstraße and Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse to the access to the visitor center (GPS address: 3002 Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse 12).
