Directions to the Kellerwiese entrance
Train: ÖBB REX/S50, 7–14 mins from Vienna-Hütteldorf to Purkersdorf-Zentrum station, then a 5-minute walk to the Kellerwiese entrance:

Bus: Regional bus routes, 24 mins from Vienna-Hütteldorf to the ‘Purkersdorf bei Wien Zentrum Bahnhof’ stop, from there it’s just a 1-minute walk to the Kellerwiese

Cycle: From Vienna-Hütteldorf via the beautiful Wiental Cycle Path to Hadersdorf, continuing along the Wien River to Purkersdorf’s main square, from there just a few minutes’ walk to the Kellerwiese entrance.
There is a Nextbike station at Purkersdorf-Zentrum railway station!
Car: From Vienna-Auhof, drive 4 km via the B1 and B44 to the Kellerwiese entrance. Please note: limited parking available (see the “Parking Zones in Purkersdorf PDF” map available for download)
- “Blue Zone”: max. 2 hours’ free short-term parking with a parking meter
- “Green Zone”: 3 hours’ free short-term parking with a parking meter; each additional hour costs €2 via a parking ticket (available at the town hall) or via easypark.at
- The following applies at the ÖBB Park & Ride car park on the B44: „...Free use, until further notice, is permitted only for the parking of road-legal vehicles and solely for the purpose of continuing the journey by public transport in designated parking areas...” According to ÖBB, authorised inspection staff will carry out random checks to ensure that valid tickets are held when using the facility.
From the Kellerwiese entrance to the Deutschwald Nature Park Centre
- On foot from Kellerwiese: From the Kellerwiese entrance, the nature trail leads to the Deutschwald wildlife enclosures in around 30 minutes.
- By bike: From Purkersdorf’s main square, the Wiental Cycle Route heads west. Turn south onto Deutschwaldstraße and follow the road for about 1 km until you reach Hyrtlgasse, just past Gasthaus Klugmayer. Follow the short stretch of Hyrtlgasse and, immediately behind it at the end of Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse, you’ll find the entrance to the nature park.
- Car: Travelling by car is not recommended due to the limited parking available. If necessary, you can reach the entrance in the Deutschwald district from the P&R car park on the B44 by continuing along the B44 for about 0.5 km, then travelling about 1 km via Deutschwaldstraße and Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse (satellite navigation address: 3002 Rudolf-Hanke-Gasse 12).
