Purkersdorf

Welcome to the green hall of Vienna

A warm welcome to Purkersdorf Nature Park

The Purkersdorf – Sandsteinwienerwald Nature Park is situated in a nature and landscape conservation area on the western outskirts of Vienna. A visit in spring is particularly worthwhile because of the wonderful scent of wild garlic. In summer, the ancient beech forests form hall-like, shady groves, ensuring it is always pleasantly cool and, after a downpour, the air smells intensely of the green leaves. Autumn beckons with its vibrant display of colours, as the changing leaves of the maples and red beeches bathe the forest in a wonderful yellow and red. In winter, you can follow animal tracks in the snow and roam through the glistening white forest.

Landscapes teeming with life.
